I’m Deja Joi Brewster, and at my core, I’m a builder of beautiful experiences, not just events, but moments that tell stories, celebrate identity, and honor where we come from.
My journey has been one of movement, meaning, and magic. As a military spouse, mother, and executive leader in diversity and inclusion, I’ve learned that every role we hold carries its own kind of elegance. Each experience, from advocating for equity across government systems to creating spaces of joy and belonging, has taught me how to transform vision into impact.
Amour Caroni was born from that same belief: that love, community, and culture deserve to be celebrated with intention. I wanted to create something more than an event venue. I want each event to feel like a sanctuary that reflects the heart of the Caribbean, uplifts local artisans, and reminds every guest that luxury and authenticity can exist side by side. Until we build our own event space we are committed to making each rented space one that upholds these values.
Beyond my professional world, I’ve always been drawn to creativity and transformation. Whether I’m crafting a themed gala, diving into cosplay that brings a story to life, or designing immersive events that feel like stepping into a dream — I pour love into every detail. Elegance, for me, is not just about aesthetics; it’s about how people feel in your presence. It’s the art of making others feel seen, celebrated, and inspired.
